Ayurvedic College closed sine die

Government Unani and Ayurvedic Degree College at Kafrul in the city was declared closed yesterday for an indefinite period after its students vandalised the library, teachers' room and principal's room and destroyed furniture with a seven-point demand.
The students are holding demonstrations for the last three days with demands including turning the college into a medical college, issuing of MBBS certificates, solving their residence problem and providing internee allowance.
The students said the college authorities are deceiving them by providing a simple degree college certificate on completion of a five-year medical course.
