10 Ctg shops fined

A team of Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protection (NCRP), in an anti-adulteration drive, fined 10 shops Tk 1.24 lakh in Jamal Khan area of the port city yesterday.
The team, led by NCRP Deputy Director Jubair Ahmed, fined restaurants, pharmacies, departmental stores and sweet shops for producing adulterated foods, selling date-expired medicines and goods and selling other goods without having Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institution (BSTI) certificate.
