UNFPA-BAMBA to hold concert in Chittagong

Under the theme, “Say No to Violence Against Women: Be a Real Man”, The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA), in collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh, will organise an open air concert on November 26 at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, according to a press release.
The concert will feature leading bands -- LRB, Nagar Baul, Miles, Warfaze, Feedback, Pentagon, Aurthohin, Prometheus, Artcell, Cryptic Fate, Black, Nemesis, Power Surge and Bedouin.
The concert aims to raise awareness against gender violence in the country. The show will highlight UNFPA's stand to eliminate violence against women.
To inform the media, BAMBA and UNFPA organised a press conference yesterday at Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka.
