Youth stabbed to death

Miscreants stabbed a youth to death at Begunbari in South Keraniganj on the outskirts of the city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rubel, 19, of Naya Bazar in the city.
Keraniganj police said a group of three to four criminals including Rubel went to Begunbari from Naya Bazar to take drugs.
The group members locked in an altercation over a matter and, at one stage, they stabbed Rubel in his abdomen around 3:00pm.
The killers fled the scene after the incident.
However, local people managed to catch one of them named Alal Shikder, 21, and handed him over to the police.
Police said the youths were involved in different types of crimes.
