Siddikur struggles

Siddikur Rahman endured another torrid day on the field as he posted a two-over-par 73 in the first round of the Barclays Singapore Open on Thursday.
The 27-year old was placed 140th along with 17 others and is in danger of failing to make the cut as only the top 80 will progress beyond the second round.
Siddikur's start at the Sentosa Golf Course yesterday was not that bad as he managed a one-under-par in the front nine with a birdie in the fourth hole. But a bogey on the twelfth and a double-bogey on the fifteenth meant he ended the back nine on three-over-par, therefore finishing the round on two-over-par.
To make the cut, Siddikur will have to notch up at least a four-under-par in the second round as things stand now.
At the other end of the ladder, the lead was shared jointly by Italian star Edoardo Molinari and young Englishman Morrison both of whom carded 10 birdies each to post nine-under-par 62.
The tournament's top guns failed to fire on all cylinders. Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell battled to a 68 while world number 11 Phil Mickelson needed two late birdies to salvage a level par 71. Three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington returned a 69 while Ernie Els, a two-time runner-up here, returned a 72.
