The essential elements of life

We have become so much dependent on so many things for living that we have become almost oblivious of the essential elements of life, which we get for free and without which we perhaps could not live for a few seconds even. The modern world has got us preoccupied in such a manner that we have almost forgotten about the very essential elements of survival for which we do not have to pay anything. But then there is a saying "nothing comes free." So what does this imply? It is that everything has a price and that which we are getting for free has got a price too.
We have almost forgotten about the lesson taught us by the greatest teacher of all times. The Lord Almighty sent the Prophet (pbu) to this world as his Messenger for enlightening the mankind about the Creator and how to pay respect to Him in the correct manner. What I wanted to say in the foregoing is that without air, water, the sun, the moon we would simply cease to exist. We are given to understand that these are the free gifts of nature. The Lord Almighty has created these conditions in order that we could live and thrive. Well since every thing has a price, so does these elements do and we have to pay the price in the form of gratitude i.e. prayers as has been demonstrated by the Messenger of Allah SWT Prophet Muhammad SM. May Allah SWT bless us all so that we may live our lives the way He desired. Ameen.
