Two drug peddlers jailed

Two drug peddlers were sentenced to six months imprisonment in the district on Thursday.
They are Moklesar Rahman (50) of Tangormari village, and Haidar Ali (42) of Kajirhat-Postarpara village of Joldhaka upazila in Nilphamari.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Directorate of Narcotics Control with the help of police launched drives in Paglapir and Hajirhat area around 9:00pm.
The team arrested the two and recovered 2.5 kg of hemp from their possession.
Later, they were produced before a mobile court, which sentenced them to six months imprisonment.
