Kevin-Prince quits Ghana

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has decided to quit the Ghana national team, the country's FA has confirmed
The AC Milan midfielder, who played for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup, said that physical demands of playing for both club and country at a high level are taking a toll on his health.
The FA announced on its official website that it has received a letter to that effect. Officials have refused to comment on the sudden turn of events, but a statement revealed that a decision is yet to be taken.
The player also explained that in order to remain healthy and avoid injuries, he has consulted his doctors and family over the matter and has decided to take the decision to excuse himself from national duties since he is on a special training regime that he has to interrupt in order to honour national team invitations, a statement added.
Boateng chose to play for Ghana before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he scored against the USA and gained fame as a Black Stars player with fantastic performances in midfield.
