Fake physician arrested in Ctg

Police arrested a fake physician from C and B area of the port city early yesterday.
The arrestee was identified as Maniruddin Patwari, 30, son of Sirajuddin Patwari, of Parshuram in Feni.
Acting on a tip-off, the police made a drive at his residence in the area around 12:30am and arrested him.
The police said they came to know that two cases were filed against Manir with Parshuram Police Station on charge of cheating.
The police said Maniruddin had been practising as a physician in a local pharmacy in the port city using pseudo name Dr Tanjib Mahmud.
The signboard of Manir shows that he holds an MBBS degree, an FCPS degree and he has completed PGT course on sex and skin diseases, said Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandgaon Police Station Abdur Rauf.
Manir used to introduce himself as a doctor of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The OC said Manir admitted the allegation of cheating in preliminary interrogation.
