Build social movement against corruption
Anti Corrruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury yesterday said social movement against corruption is needed to make the country corruption-free.
Speaking at a view exchange meeting at Kabi Jasimuddin hall in Faridpur town, the ACC chief said all should raise voice against corruption as resisting corruption is our moral duty.
"Fighting corruption a continuous process. Only submitting memorandum and forming human chain will not wipe out corruption. We should identify the corrupt people in different sectors and expose them. But it should not be directed to any person or any organization."
People from all walks of life have to work together to eradicate corruption forever from our country. Especially the new generation can play a vital role to win over corruption and they must work for long to achieve the goal," the ACC chief said.
"We would not have to depend upon any foreign country to build the Padma bridge if we were free from corruption which costs Tk 7000 crore a year," he said.
High officials, educationists, politicians, professionals and people from all walks of life attended the programme.
