Mozena next US envoy to Dhaka

The US Senate has confirmed President Obama's nomination of Dan W Mozena as the next ambassador to Bangladesh.
Mozena, who succeeds Ambassador James F Moriarty, will arrive in Dhaka sometime next month to take up his diplomatic assignment, said diplomatic sources.
The Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate recently held hearings on his nomination and approved the appointment.
Earlier, Mozena served as political and economic counsellor in Dhaka from 1998-2001.
Prior to his nomination, Mozena was a professor at the National War College.
It may be mentioned that the immediate past US ambassador to Dhaka James F Moriarty already has left Dhaka on completion of his three-year tenure in Bangladesh.
