Two shops gutted in fire

A fire originated from an electric short-circuit damaged two shops in Steel Mill Bazar area under Patenga Police Station in the port city early yesterday.
The loss was estimated at Tk 2 lakh, said Biswajit Das of Agrabad Fire Control Room. Two fire fighting units doused the blaze after one hour's efforts.
