JU Rokon library robbed off

Unidentified miscreants broke in, robbed and vandalised Rokon Memorial Library run by Socialist Students Front at Jahangirnagar University (JU) early morning yesterday.
The front members submitted a written complaint in this regard to JU Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique.
They claimed the miscreants broke in through the library's door and stole money, around 400 books, important documents, issues of the front's newspaper “Vanguard”, banners, leaflets, and music instruments, totalling around Tk 35,000.
The miscreants then vandalised the library, adjacent to the old Arts Building, they said.
The front President Nasir Uddin Prince said this incident reveals the poor security system at JU.
