Vet students continue protest

Students of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science department of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday threatened to lay siege to University Grant Commission (UGC) office protesting the opening of Animal Husbandry Science department at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU).
They also threatened to observe street demonstration in the capital along with all university students to press the demand.
Students threatened at a rally while they continued to boycott classes for the third day yesterday as part of their indefinite class boycott programme to press the demand that PSTU must shut down the new department, as similar department already exists at the same university.
