U-14 tennis moves to BKSP
The second phase of the Asian U-14 Series Tennis Tournament begins today at the BKSP tennis court in Savar.
Some 31 players including 15 girls from seven countries -- Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and hosts Bangladesh -- are taking part in the second phase of the tournament.
Mohammed Vali of India is the top seed in boys' draw while Delizavernne Kaur of Malaysia is the top seeded participant in the girls' draw.
The players will compete in four competitive events -- boys' singles, boys' doubles, girls' singles and girls' doubles.
Joint secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and director general of BKSP (Incharge) ATM Mustafizur Rahman will inaugurate the four-day meet in the morning.
