Jamal romp into semis

Star studded Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club continued their goal spree as they thrashed Wari Club 13-0 in the Walton Women's Football League at the Bangaban-dhu National Stadium on Saturday.
National striker Sabina Khatun followed up her 12-goal haul in the previous match with four goals in yesterday's goal fest. Her national team partner Nubai Ching Marma scored four more while Sharmin Akhter Rupa scored a brace. Aung Mra Ching Marma, Tahmina Akhter Putul and Mirona netted the other three.
The win saw to it that Jamal emerge champions from group A and sets up a semifinal clash against group B runners-up Farashganj on Tuesday. Group B champions Mohammedan SC will take on Dipali Jubo Sangha in the second semifinal the following day.
In the first match of the day, Dipali Jubo Sangha mauled Arambagh 9-1 to move into the semifinals. Asia Khatun and Jannatul Ferdous slammed hattricks while Jaya Chakma, Kaniz Fatema and Khaleda Khatun scored one apiece to ensure a convincing victory.
