Anwara Khan passes away

Anwara Khan, wife of National Professor Dr M R Khan, an eminent pediatric specialist in the country, passed away at a hospital in the city yesterday due to old age complications at the age of 77, says a press release.
She left behind her husband, one daughter and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
Her namaz-e-janaza was held on Central Hospital premises yesterday. She will be buried at her family graveyard in Satkhira tomorrow.
Anwara was born on November 9 in 1933 at Rasulpur in Satkhira. She obtained graduation degree from the then Ripon College of Kolkata. She was involved in several social welfare works in her lifetime through Dr M R Khan and Anwara Trust.
