Wife, paramour get death for killing one in Chuadanga

A young housewife and her paramour were sentenced to death yesterday for murder of her husband in a remote village of Jibannagar upazila two years ago.
Additional district and sessions judge Motahar Hasan handed down the death penalty to Ujala Khatun, 30, and her paramour Samiul, 32.
In a planned way they slaughtered Raj Hossain to remove the obstacle on their way in his home at Gangadaspur village on the night of December 22, 2006.
During investigation neighbours told the police that Ujala's affairs with Samiul of the same village led to the murder of poor Raj Hossain. The paramours admitted the guilt to the magistrate.
The judge pronounced the verdict in a crowded court after examining 21 prosecution witnesses.
