Manmohan's visit to add new dimension to Dhaka-Delhi ties

The upcoming visit of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to Bangladesh would add a new dimension to Dhaka-New Delhi bilateral relations.
This view was expressed when Indian National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office yesterday.
After the meeting, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad briefed the newsmen.
Menon termed the Indian premier's visit very important and historic as he apprised Hasina of the details of the tour.
Describing the economic situation in Bangladesh as good, he said it is improving day by day.
Highlighting various pro-people programmes of her government, Hasina said it is striving to change the lot of the people.
Advisers to the Prime Minister Dr Mashiur Rahman and Dr Gowher Rizvi, Ambassador- at-Large M Ziauddin, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Tariq A Karim, Principal Secretary MA Karim, PMO Secretary Mollah Waheeduzzaman, PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and Indian High Commissioner Rajeet Mitter were present at the meeting.
