Ramsagor Express stops again ahead of Eid
Railway authorities have again suspended the service of Ramsagor Express train on Gaibandha-Dinajpur route, causing immense sufferings to the passengers ahead of Eid.
Service of the express train on the route remained suspended for 20 days during the last one and a half months and a total of 40 days since its inception in 2010 on the plea of shortage of locomotive.
Ramsagor Express was introduced on GaibandhaDinajpur route on November 12 in 2010 to ease rail communication of northern districts under Rangur division.
Station Master of Bonarpara Railway Station said the authorities suspended the train service due to lack of engine. The service will resume if engine is available, he added.
At present, only three loco masters against 18 posts and nine assistant loco masters against 34 posts are working at Bonarpara railway junction, the station master further said.
We are trying to arrange locomotive for resumption of the express train service on Gaibandha-Dinajpur route and resolve manpower crisis at Bonpara Railway junction, said Abdul Hye, divisional manager of Lalmonirhat Railway Division.
