Blake tipped to outrun Bolt

Jamaica's Yohan Blake is the sprinter to outrun reigning world and Olympic champion Usain Bolt in the 100m, according to American sprint legend Maurice Greene.
"In Championships, a star is born... I think there's going to be a surprise in this championship," Greene told journalists in reference to Blake, who has a personal best of 9.89sec in the 100m and 19.78sec in the 200m.
"I think he [Blake] is going to make it the closest race in this championship," said Greene.
The retired three-time world champion and former world record holder said that Bolt was not the same runner this year as when he set the current world record of 9.58sec at the Berlin worlds in 2009.
Greene argued that Bolt was not in the same shape as before, backing the 21-year-old Blake, one of Bolt's training partners under the tutelage of Glen Mills, as being "young and talented".
"Bolt's not running those times (when he ran world record)," the American said. "He can run it, but he has shown he's not in form this year.
"I don't think Blake is fearful of Bolt, and I think he's crazy and mentally tough enough to believe he's going to go out there and win."
Even Bolt has dubbed Blake as being "like a beast", and the pair smoothly negotiated their way through 100m heats on Saturday to progress to Sunday's semifinals.
However, Greene still vouched for Bolt as the winner in the 200m event, in which the 24-year-old Jamaican is also world and Olympic champion and world record holder (19.19sec).
"I'm going with Bolt. No one's going to beat him in the 200m."
Bolt's archrival in the sprints, American Tyson Gay, pulled up in the US trials with a hip injury meaning he had to miss these worlds and a showdown with the Jamaican.
But the former world champion was also present in Daegu and claimed Bolt would retain both his sprint titles.
"It's hard for me to bet on it. I'll go with the champion," said the 29-year-old Gay.
Gay, double world gold medallist at Osaka in 2007, was the only man to beat Bolt in 2010, and his American 100m record of 9.69 makes him the second-fastest man ever behind the Jamaican, who set the world record of 9.58 in the same race, the final in the Berlin worlds in 2009.
The men's 100m final will take place at 1245 GMT on Sunday, after the first round of racing on Saturday and a semifinal just before the final itself.
The men's 200m final will be held at 1320 GMT on Saturday, after heats on Friday.
