Special programmes on Nazrul death anniversary

To mark the 35th death anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, television channels will air special programme throughout the day. Highlights:
“Bidrohi Bulbul” on ntv
Documentary “Bidrohi Bulbul” will be aired on ntv at 8:20pm. Produced by Fayez Reza, the programme will be hosted by Dr. Nashid Kamal. Dr. Leena Taposhi Khan, Yakub Ali Khan and Nancy will render Nazrul's songs. Mashkur-e-Sattar Kallol and Shakila Matin will recite his poems. The programme will feature Nazrul's patriotic songs and poems.
“Rikter Bedon” on ntv
“Rikter Bedon” will be aired on ntv at 9pm. Based on the National Poet's story with the same title, the play has been adapted and directed by Ferdaus Hasan. Sumaiya Shimu and Litu Anam play the lead characters.
“Tomaye Gaan Shonabo” on Maasranga Television
Musical programme “Tomaye Gaan Shonabo” will be aired live on Maasranga Television at 11pm. Featuring Nazrul's Islamic songs, the programme will also mark the holy Shab-e-Barat.
Fatema-Tuj-Zohra, Shaheen Samad and Khaled Hossain will sing on the show. Professor Rafiqul Islam will host the programme.
“Kuhelika” on Banglavision
Single-episode play “Kuhelika” will be aired on Banglavision at 9:05pm. Rawshan Ara Mustafiz has adapted the play from Nazrul's story with the same title. Kamol Chakma is the director of the play.
The story is set against the backdrop of anti-Raj movement. It revolves around Jahangir, only son of a zamindar family. Jahangir studies in Kolkata. Through his friend, he comes to know Tahmina and falls for her. But the anti-British movement changes everything. Jahangir joins the rebel forces. Tahmina waits for his return.
The cast includes Tauquir Ahmed, Mir Sabbir, Bidya Sinha Mim and Sharmili Ahmed.
“Priya” on Channel i
TV play “Priya” will be aired on Channel i at 9:35pm. Based on Nazrul's story, the play has been dramatised by Gitali Hasan. Rehana Samdani is the director of the play. The cast includes Chandni, Shahriar Nazim Joy, Shathi, Rana and Zaman.
