A little extra...

Underprivileged people from the north rush to Dhaka targeting Ramadan to earn a little extra so that they can buy some happy moments for their families during the Eid. They pull rickshaws, push carts, carry luggage and do whatever they can. However, their employment opportunities die as soon as the Eid is over. But it doesn't matter since nothing can stop them from spending the Eid with their dear ones. To save money on their travel home, they get on trucks and pay as little as Tk 50 for the trip. Cheap travel it may be but not without risks. Last year, 26 people died near the Bangabandhu Bridge in a fatal truck accident, while our scars from the Mirsarai tragedy are still fresh.
