JU vacation begins today

Vacation of Jahangirnagar University (JU) begins today on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims, and Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna.
Classes will resume on September 7.
The university offices will remain closed from August 27 to September 4, says a statement signed by Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique.
All student dormitories will remain vacant from August 29 to September 4, says another statement signed by Prof Dr SM Bodiar Rahman, chairman of JU hall provost committee.
