Home Ministry geared for friendly
An Inter-ministerial meeting was held yesterday at the secretariat in a bid to make the Argentina-Nigeria International Friendly match a success.
“All government departments like power, water, metropolis, home, custom, foreign affairs have promised us to provide all assistance to make the Nigeria-Argentina international match a success,” said BFF president Kazi Salahuddin.
The BFF boss also clarified that the Indian prime minister's visit in Bangladesh in the same date would not affect their programme as the authority of Hotel Sonargaon discussed the issue relating to accommodate either Argentina or Nigeria team with the BFF boss yesterday.
“The home ministry would provide the same security what they provided during the ICC World Cup in Bangladesh and there will be enough security guards in the training venues, hotels, airport and stadium,” said BFF acting general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.
“The officials of the home ministry had asked us about the arrival date of both teams, their departure dates, accommodation states, team lists of both teams, and names of bus drivers and volunteers etc and I tried to provide as much as we could,” said Shohag adding that there would be a three-tier security phase to enter the stadium on the match day.
Meanwhile, Iranian referee Bakhshi Zadeh Akbar will conduct the friendly while his compatriots Rafatisajedi Davoud and Alinezhadian Saeid Ali will accompany the match referee.
