Rangpur trader fined for selling fish with formalin

A mobile court here yesterday realised Tk 5,000 as fine from a fish trader for selling formalin-mixed fish at the municipality market.
The trader is Mostafa Kamal.
The court led by magistrate Firoz Kabir also seized about 16 maunds of fish from his depot.
Later, the seized fish were dumped in a hole.
Sources said, Mostafa Kamal and other fish dealers had been selling formalin-mixed fish for a long time.
Joint forces assisted the court in conducting the raid.
