Two traders in Moulvibazar, Bogra mugged
Two traders were mugged in Moulvibazar and Bogra on Tuesday and the day before.
Muggers took away Tk 2.70 lakh from a trader injuring him seriously in Beripar area of Moulvibazar district town Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Sadikur Rahman, 40, son of late Amin Uddin of Gobindasree area in Sadar upazila.
Police said Sadikur, while going to a bank to deposit Tk 2.70 lakh at around 3 pm, an armed gang all on a sudden swooped on him and took away the money after stabbing him indiscriminately.
In Bogra, a gang snatched a motorbike and cash from a trader in Adamdighi upazila headquarter early Monday.
Sources said 6-7 muggers waylaid fish feed trader of Adamdighi bazar Belal Hossain near Induil bridge and beat him up mercilessly, leaving him seriously injured.
They tied up hands and face of Belal and decamped with his motorbike and cash Tk 80,200 leaving him on the roadside.
Local people rescued him early in the morning and admitted to Adamdighi Hospital.
