Abahani, Mohammedan and Azad Sporting Club won their respective rain-interrupted super league matches of the 3rd Women's Club cricket at three different city venues yesterday.
All three matches were settled by D/L method following heavy rain in the afternoon.
Abahani defeated BKSP by 23 runs at the City Club ground.
BKSP were all out for 104 runs in 37.4 overs and Abahani, in reply, scored 75 for four in 20 overs before rain stopped the match. Abahani needed 53 runs in 20 overs in the revised target.
At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Rumana Ahmed hit 64 as Mohammedan beat Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 15 runs.
Mohammedan scored 153 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Rain stopped the match during Sheikh Jamal's chase and the revised target was set at 65 from 20 overs, but Sheikh Jamal managed only 49 for 2.
At the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Azad scored 59 for three in 21 overs in reply to Gulshan Youth Club's 72 to win the match by D/L method.
