Tripti stars for BKSP
BKSP pace bowler Tripti ran through the Kalabagan Krira Chakra middle-order to help her side to a nine-wicket win in the Women's Club Cup cricket tournament at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium yesterday.
The pace bowler took four for 16 from 5.2 overs as Kalabagan were bowled out for just 61 runs in 20.2 overs. BKSP took just 9.3 overs to knock off the target, losing only opener Farzana in the process as they made 65
for one.
Sharmin struck two boundaries as she was the top-scorer with 22 runs from 30 balls.
Away at the City Club ground in Mirpur, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club also had an easy ride, beating Orient Sporting Club by ten wickets. Batting first, the Old Dhaka outfit were bowled out for 68 runs in 35.2 overs.
Sharifa took three wickets while Tithi, Panna and Soheli took two each.
Mahmuda (27 not out) and Panna (22 not out) took just 10.1 overs to reach 69 runs.
