Doctor found dead

Police yesterday recovered the body of Dr Baqui Mirza, 37, acting resident medical officer (RMO) of Sirajganj General Hospital, from a room of a government dormitory near the district judge's court.
Although police could not immediately say the motive behind the killing, they suspected that unidentified criminals might have killed him.
Police and locals said Dr Mirza took his dinner on Friday night and was asleep in his room at the dormitory.
The next morning, Esha, a girl student of Ullahpara Hamida Pilot Girls' School and also a distant cousin of Dr Mirza, came to the dormitory.
As she failed to contact him over cellphone, she opened the door of his room and saw the body lying there.
Hearing scream, neighbours rushed there and informed police who later recovered the body.
Contacted, Officer-in-Charge Sirajganj Sadar Police Station Basudev Sinha said an investigating is going on. Ersha and two maids of the dormitory were being interrogated as of filing of this report yesterday afternoon.
