Blood-stained body of girl found in hotel

Dakkhin Khan Police broke into a room of a residential hotel at Ashkhona and recovered the blood-stained body of an eight-year-old girl from inside it yesterday.
Police said, they recovered the body of the unidentified girl after the authorities of Setu Residential Hotel informed that the room was locked from inside.
Police broke open the lock of the room and found the body of the girl lying on the bed. They sent the body to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Police said the hotel authorities told them that around 11:00pm on Sunday, a youth gave his name in the hotel register as Raihan and the girl's name as Rumi. The youth told the hotel authorities that they were siblings and they came from Sunamganj.
The youth said they came to a relative at Dakkhin Khan but he lost the address of the house and was taking accommodation in the hotel.
Sometime during the day yesterday, the youth left the room. The hotel staff looking through the window of the room saw that the body of the girl was lying on the bed and they informed police of the matter, police said.
