Creating Good Citizens

The three-day children's theatre festival, titled 'Barisal Bibhagio Shishu Natya Utshab 2011' (Barisal divisional children's theatre festival) ended at Barisal Aswani Kumar Hall last Wednesday evening with a call for ensuring wholesome entertainment to enable children to be good citizens.
The festival was arranged jointly by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and People's Theatre Association.
Children's theatre teams and cultural organisations -- People's Theatre of Dhaka, Barisal Shishu Theatre, Prantik Sangeet Bidyaloy, Khelaghar of Barisal city, Natun Mukh of Barisal, Sundarom Children Theatre of Patuakhali and Barguna Little Theatre -- staged their performances at the festival.
Liakat Ali Lucky, secretary general People's Theatre Association, inaugurated the festival by leading a rally on city roads on Monday evening.
