JU mathematics deptt reunion

The first reunion of the mathematics department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was held on the university campus yesterday, says a press release.
JU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Khandakar Mustahidur Rahman inaugurated the reunion by releasing pigeon and balloons.
In his speech, the JU VC urged the former and present students to sacrifice their life for the welfare of the nation.
Chairman of the department Faruk Ahmed and Convener of the reunion committee Dr Sharif Uddin also spoke on the occasion.
The programme was followed by a colourful rally, reminiscence meeting, reception to eminent citizens and blood donation programme.
