Muktir Utshab in Mymensingh

Marking 40 years of the country's Independence, a six-day programme, titled 'Muktir Utshab' (celebration of independence) began at Town Hall Shaheed Minar premises from March 26.
Muktijoddha Sangsad, Ekatturer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, Sammilito Sangskritik Jote and Zila Nagorik Andolan have jointly organised the programme.
The programme includes discussions on the Liberation War and performances by cultural groups of the town.
Marking Independence Day, the district administration, local socio-cultural and political organisations and educational institutions including Jatiya Kobi Kazi Nazrul Islam University and Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) have also chalked up elaborate programmes.
