Govt appoints BFFA administrator
Commerce ministry yesterday appointed Saidur Rahman Selim, a deputy secretary to the ministry, as the administrator of Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association to run routine activities in absence of an elected executive committee.
Selim was appointed as the ad-hoc committee of the association, as per the rules, failed to hold election in between six months after being registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms.
Selim has to organise an election within five months of his appointment to handover the power to a new committee, said a statement of the ministry. He is also responsible to prepare a valid voter list of the members.
