Two commit suicide in city

A housewife allegedly committed suicide following a family feud at West Dholaipar of Shyampur in the city yesterday noon.
Hosne-Ara Begum, 40, wife of AKM Zilani, a clothes trader at the old part of the city was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Police said after returning from outside, Zilani found the body of her wife hanging from a ceiling fan in a room around 12:00noon. Family sources said the couple engaged in an altercation over a family matter on Thursday night.
In another incident, a beautician woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan inside her beauty parlor in the city's Merul Badda yesterday afternoon.
Police recovered the body of Rabeya Akhter, 22, also owner of New Herbal Beauty Parlor, around 2:30pm.
Sub-Inspector Babul Hossain of Badda Police Station said “Rabeay opened the beauty parlor in the morning and committed suicide in the afternoon.” Rabeya might have committed suicide following a feud with her husband who left her two years ago, he added.
