Madrasa boy dies in rooftop fall

A seven-year-old madrasa student died after he fell from the rooftop of a five-storey building at Lalbagh in the old part of the city yesterday.
The deceased identified as Mohammad Sohag is a student of class-I of Chunwala Ghat Madrasa at Lalbagh.
Family members said Sohag fell from the roof of their building at around 12:30pm when he was playing there with other boys of his age after returning home from madrasa.
His mother Sumi Begum rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
An unnatural death case was registered with Lalbagh Police Station in this regard.
