Headmaster's certificate found fake after 18 yrs

The headmaster of Betagi Sikdaria High School in Dashmina upazila in Patuakhali district is facing legal action as a recent probe by the upazila administration found that he took the job through submitting a fake experience certificate 18 years ago.
On August 1 in 1992, Abdul Aziz Mia joined as headmaster of Betagi Sikdaria High School.
In his application for the post, he submitted a fake experience certificate along with other necessary papers and the school managing committee had issued appointment letter to him considering his experience, goes the probe report.
The certificate showed that he had served as the headmaster of Hazikhali High School in Patuakhali Sadar upazila since December 15 in 1991 but he never served in that school, it adds.
Following an allegation in this regard from all eight assistant teachers of the school, Dashmina Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ajmol Hossain recently asked Upazila Social Welfare Officer Abdur Rashid to investigate the matter.
Abdur Rashid submitted his probe report to the UNO, saying that the allegation was found true.
“We are taking lawful action against the headmaster as his experience certificate has been found to be false,” the UNO said.
When contacted, Abdul Aziz Mia claimed that the investigation officer submitted an imaginary report against him.
