Ten personalities receive Rapport awards

Ten personalities were honoured with the 7th Rapport Award for Excellence in Human Resource Development-2007 at a function in the city on Tuesday, says a press release.
The Rapport Bangladesh Ltd organised the award giving ceremony at Summer Palace Hotel, with Prof Muzaffer Ahmad, chairman of Transparency International Bangladesh, as the chief guest.
Chaired by Prof Hafiz GA Siddiqi, vice chancellor of North South University, the function was also attended by Dr Saadat Husain, chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission, and Dr Akbar Ali Khan, chairman of the Regulatory Reforms Commission, as special guests.
The recipients of the awards are Dr Akbar Ali Khan, Md Delwar Hossain, former chairman of Bangladesh Food & Sugar Corporation, AKM Rafiqul Islam, managing director of Pragati Insurance Ltd, Nasiruddin Ahmad Choudhury, managing director and CEO of Green Delta Insurance Co Ltd, M Fasihur Rahman, secretary of BGMEA, Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, general manager, HR & Administration, Warid Telecom International, Emdadul Huq, former additional chief engineer of PWD, Shahjahan Bhuiyan, managing director of Prime Bank, Dr Syed Naquib Muslim, additional secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, and Maj Gen Md Aminul Karim, military secretary to the president.
Dr M Mosharraf Hossain, chairman & managing director of Rapport Bangladesh Ltd, moderated the function.
