Woman dies while cutting hills in Ctg

A woman was killed and two of her family members were injured critically in a landslide in the port city yesterday.
The deceased is Moyna Begum, 45, and the injured are her husband Abdul Barek, 60, and daughter Roksana, 25.
Moyna along with her family members was digging into the hill at Nalapara in Ambagan area to expand their home, said Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, senior station officer of Agrabad fire station, quoting eyewitness.
This risky act triggered the landslide which buried them under earth around 11:00am. After rescuing the three, neighbours rushed them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
They were admitted to CMCH where Moyna died around 11:45am, said police Sub-inspector Jahirul Islam.
