A look at the illustrious career of Atiqul Huque Chowdhury
Veteran media personality Atiqul Huque Chowdhury turns 80 today. To celebrate his birthday, satellite channels ETV and Rtv will air special programmes.
Chowdhury will be the guest on today's episode of ETV live show “Ekusher Dupur”. The programme will be aired at 12pm. Chowdhury will share interesting experiences from his illustrious career on the show. Masudul Hasan is the producer of the programme.
Rtv will air a documentary, titled “Japito Jibon” on Chowdhury. The documentary will be aired at 5:30pm. Ohidul Azam Tipu has produced the documentary, which will feature an intensive interview with the octogenarian media personality.
Atiqul Huque Chowdhury was born on December 15, 1931 in Bhola. During television's formative years in the country, Chowdhury has been one of the pioneering figures, and is associated with the golden era (from late 1970s to late 80s) of BTV.
He started as a producer in 1965 and retired from the state-run TV as the Deputy Director General. During his tenure, he made over 450 TV plays.
At present, Chowdhury is serving as an adviser to ETV.
