BCL men beat 3 DU 'Shibir' activists

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men of Dhaka University yesterday beat up its three students accusing them as Islami Chhatra Shibir activists who were later handed over to Shahbagh Police Station.
They are Mir Lokman, a 1st year student of World Religion department, Nasir Uddin, a 3rd year student of Arabic department and Arafat Hossain, a 3rd year student of Political Science department.
Shamsul Kabir Rahat, General Secretary of Zaharul Haque Hall Unit BCL, led them to the DUCSU building and beat the students mercilessly locked them into the newspaper room.
Earlier Arafat beat Sharif, a sports secretary of BCL DU unit.
Arafat said he was an activist of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and another two claimed not to have any connection with any political party.
