Obama to visit tomb of Humayun
Visiting US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will not be visiting the Taj Mahal but will have a view of the Humayun's Tomb here, an artistic precursor to the 17th century monument of love in Agra, today.
Obama will be the first American President to visit the resting place of Humayun, the second of the Mughal Emperors.
Built in the 16th century, the red sandstone and white marble tomb, a magnificent Mughal marvel will be the first stop in Delhi tomorrow for the US President.
The architecture of the Humayun's tomb set a trend of which the culmination was, of course, the Taj Mahal.
