26 shops, 10 houses gutted in Ctg fire

At least 26 shops and 10 houses were gutted in a fire in the port city early yesterday.
Fire office sources said the fire originated from a mosquito coil at a tin-roofed house in Masterpul around 2:25am.
The fire spread fast to the adjoining shops and tin-roofed houses, causing an estimated loss of Tk 10 lakh, they added.
Six fire fighting units from different stations managed to subdue it four and a half hours later.
