Four killed in city incidents

Four people, including two women, were killed in separate incidents in the city's Sutrapur, Kadamtoli, Uttara and Turag early yesterday.
Mohammad Jabbar Miah, 45, a security guard of the Sutrapur branch of Sonali Bank was found dead inside the bank yesterday morning.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sutrapur Police Station said a cleaner of the bank found Jabbar's body lying on the floor.
“The cleaner found the door left ajar with the key inside the office,” the OC said.
Police suspects the victim died after receiving a heavy blow on his head.
Branch manager of the bank Mizanur Rahman said although some file cabinets and documents were rummaged through, nothing was detected missing.
Police also recovered women's attires from the office where Jabbar was supposed to live alone, said the OC.
“We are trying to trace Jabbar's missing mobile phone which might help unravel the mystery”, he added.
In Kadamtoli, Sumon, 18, a garment employee of Wander Apparels Ltd was stabbed to death by his co-worker Rubel, 20, yesterday around 12:15am.
Sources said the two were caught in a scuffle when Rubel stabbed him with a pair of scissors in the heat of the argument.
Sumon was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Police arrested Rubel soon after the incident.
In Abdullapur, police recovered the body of Rina Begum, 25, on Tuesday at 7:30am from a pavement.
Uttara police said Rina was strangled to death by unknown assailants, adding, she was involved in drug peddling.
The motive behind the killing has not been ascertained yet, police said.
Meanwhile, body of an unidentified young girl was recovered from Mitali Jubok Housing area in Turag early Tuesday.
