Bank Asia has selected 92 students for the Higher Studies Scholarship for 2010 as part of its corporate social responsibility, says a press release.
Of them, 14 students of Sirajdikhan and Keraniganj upazilas received the scholarships at a simple ceremony at the Malkhanagar Branch of the Bank on October 22.
Bank Asia Chairman A Rouf Chowdhury handed over the scholarship money to the students. Upazila Chairman Md Mohiuddin Ahmed and Sirajdikhan Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Daudul Islam were present as the special guests. Bank Director AM Nurul Islam and President and Managing Director Erfanuddin Ahmed and industrialist Amanullah Chowdhury were present at the function.
