Police arrested 2,045 people on various charges in separate drives across the country in 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday.
Nine firearms, fifteen explosive materials and 35 rounds of bullet were also recovered during the countrywide drive, said a police headquarters release.
Some 113 motorcycles were also seized during the drives for not having valid documents and 298 cases filed in this connection.
