A teenage girl committed suicide at Balurchar village under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabagnj district yesterday. Police quoted local people as saying that Sharmin Khatun, 18, daughter of kamrul Haque, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room at around 6:00 am. Being informed, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. An unnatural death case was filed with Shibgonj Police Station.
