Koica service for homeless begins

Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica), Korean government's bilateral development wing, along with two other Korean organisations has launched a five-day voluntary service for homeless and underprivileged people in the city.
The voluntary service started on October 17 and will continue till October 21, said a press release of Korean embassy in Dhaka yesterday.
Koica with LG display, a leading global enterprise, and Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), an international non-government organisation, has undertaken to build houses for homeless people, feed 500 hungry people and give them medical services.
They will also give computer and healthcare education to the less privileged people.
The opening ceremony took place at Wingwing Center in Nurer Chala in the city. Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Taiyoung Cho was present on the occasion.
