2 brothers beaten to death

Two brothers were beaten to death by a mob as suspected robbers at Dhuldia Bazar of Katiadi in Kishoreganj yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Madhu Mia, 45, and his younger brother Nuru Mia, 40, of Raykhala village.
Witnesses said as the two siblings were preparing to commit a robbery at Dhuldia Bazar, locals chased and severely beat them, leaving them dead on the spot. The incident took place around 7:30pm.
Police immediately could not ascertain the cause behind the incident but said the brothers were accused in several cases with Katiadi Police Station.
Superintendent of Police Mir Rezaul Alam of Kishoreganj said the two and their four other siblings were accused for looting and other criminal activities in the area.
